Earlier this year, I had the privilege of performing a special concert for the seniors’ group at my church. I called it “Joy Comes in the Morning” — a program weaving together pieces by Bach, Liszt, Margaret Bonds, along with a selection of hymn arrangements that trace the human journey of joy, sorrow, and worship.
For this Mini Musikhaus, I’m sharing a few highlights from that morning, which began and ended with Bach. He once wrote,
“The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.” - J.S. Bach
