Get Ready...Get Set...for Summer!
Sanity savers for the last push before summer
We’re in the last stretch before summer! Last recitals, performances, planning for what’s next… If your schedule is anything like mine, you are in a season of busy, wrapping up all the last things and planning ahead for what is to come.
Maybe you have a recital coming up, and then a few weeks before the end of your studio year. Need some ideas for what to do? Check out my Composer Kits for fun games, biographies, guided listening prompts, and composition activities. Or, introduce your late-beginners to the comic-inspired Carloforte Trilogy by Wunderkeys, starting with The Adventures of Fearless Fortissimo. Want to try something completely different? Try Chrissy Ricker’s songs for one hand - perfect for students who can only use hand due to an injury or who need technical exercises to develop agility in the right or left hand. (This collection is SO fun!)
If you’re still in need of ideas for what to do this summer, see my recent article on Plans for Summer Piano (link below), or check out one of the summer piano camp curriculums available in my shop. If you regularly play for a choir, consider joining my Open Score Summer Intensive for choral accompanists this June. You’ll find links to all of these (and more) below!
Lastly, here’s a yummy recipe I found last week when looking for something quick and budget-friendly: Ultimate Ground Turkey Teriyaki Stir-fry.
